This was a fantastic [Respect in the Workplace] workshop overall. There was a great balance struck between productivity and ease. Audrey and her co-presenter were engaging and energetic without detracting from the seriousness of the subject matter. One thing that I didn’t expect to be a major takeaway for me in the [Respect in the Workplace] training was the connection to ensuring safety and being able to be authentically yourself (within professional boundaries) while at work. This should be a clear connection but so often, we are meant to minimize who we are and what we are able to bring to our work, which leads to less safety, satisfaction, productivity, etc. In addition to being an active bystander and speaking up for others, I also felt more empowered to stand up for myself & my peers when it comes to pushing back against the pressures to lessen myself in this way.
